Dubai-based flydubai today has announced that it will move its existing operations to Boryspil International Airport Kiev with effect from 28 October 2018.
From October 2, double daily flights will be available between Kiev and Dubai.
flydubai launched its operations to Ukraine in 2013 and offers 17 weekly flights from Kiev and Odessa to Dubai.
Through flydubai’s expanded codeshare partnership with Emirates, Ukrainian passengers also are offered unmatched travel options via Dubai’s aviation hub.
Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President, Commercial at flydubai, said:
“We welcome the start of our double daily service from Boryspil International Airport, which provides a more convenient travel experience and better connectivity via Dubai’s aviation hub to some of the most popular leisure destinations. Our passengers from Kiev were also one of the first on our network to enjoy our new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a flat-bed in Business Class and optimized space and comfort in Economy Class.”
Emirates will codeshare on this route as part of the Emirates flydubai partnership announced in July 2017. With the partnership, passengers from Ukraine will have an opportunity to travel via Dubai to the hundreds of destinations all over the world.
flydubai operates over 1,700 flights per week to over 90 destinations in 48 countries, including popular routes among Ukrainian travellers, such as Dubai, Colombo, Kathmandu and Zanzibar.
